Nebraska School Districts Encouraged to Participate in Soy Biodiesel Reimbursement Program
The Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) is encouraging all school districts in Nebraska to participate in their "Take Soy Biodiesel to School" reimbursement program. Any school district in the state of Nebraska that would like to test the use of soy biodiesel in their school bus fleets can participate.

REASONS TO CONSIDER:
Soy biodiesel is a clean burning alternative diesel fuel.
Made from soybeans grown right here in Nebraska.
Soy biodiesel is biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.
It has been proven to be a safe and efficient alternative to diesel fuel.
Using soy biodiesel helps reduce harmful school bus emissions, benefiting the health of school children, drivers and staff that can be exposed to hazardous exhaust.
Biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend.
It can be used in existing diesel engines with little or no modifications. Biodiesel is safe, available, renewable, and dependable.

(3) MONTHLY INVOICE for Reimbursement - after the application is return to Dept. of Ag, - submit a monthly invoice to the NE Department of Agriculture and reimbursement will be within 30 days of receipt of invoice. The Nebraska Department of Agriculture and the Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) want to make you aware of the changes in their “Take Soy Biodiesel to School” reimbursement program. This year's program will reimburse schools $0.20 a gallon that use a 20 percent level (B-20) regardless of any cost difference between standard diesel fuel and soy biodiesel. So for every gallon of B-20 purchased we will credit your school district $0.20. All Nebraska school districts that would like to use soy biodiesel in their school bus fleet are encouraged to participate.
